Have you ever felt like no one understands your digestive motility disorder and all that you are going through? From those in the medical community, family members, friends, and co-workers, it can be difficult for them to conceive of what a day looks like in your life. It can also be challenging for the medical community to acknowledge your symptoms, especially when tests come back negative.
During the program, Kim will relate some of her own experiences and what she has learned. She will also discuss some strategies and tips to help others gain a better understanding of your digestive motility disorders.
Kim is a patient who was diagnosed with gastroparesis, colonic inertia, pelvic floor dysfunction, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, and C-diff. She also had a colectomy with anastomosis. She also serves as a volunteer for the AGMD.
